Seriously... people... I support Bobbie The Jean, I enjoy her art, and she is personally one of my favorite top ten artists on here along with some PROFESSIONAL artists that work for comic books and paint for a living. So before you start coming onto my page and start giving me links and getting me involved just because I've expressed support of my friend be warned my dears:
You go up against a novelist and your actions taken here to and forth shall not be tolerated if negative in nature. I am a Literary Genius, labeled and certified, so if you go against me you should henceforth be prepared for a verbal back lash. Also, it is my firm belief that when in an altercation of the written or spoken word only the weak and feeble resort to such egregious words as 'fuck' 'whore' and other things I do not feel inclined to state for they go against my moral fiber. There is nothing you can say to turn me against someone I THINK is telling the truth and is right.

Remember, an opinion is just that, an opinion. They are nothing of solid substance, they do not harm you, they do nothing against you personally, so therefore do not bring your drama to me. I am telling you, anyone that comes across me that is coming for the express purpose of bad mouthing a friend and mentor in the art forms you are not welcome here, kindly leave.

i dunno about that... wasn't the holocaust just all one big opinion?

and all this time, i didn't know you never swore. i guess i never noticed.

that was quite verbose my friend... you must be pissed. what exactly is going on? i don't see any rebuttal here from the.... uhh... playa haters. which is actually an interesting comment toward their character. :giggle:

haha its just drama with a deviant on here called Bobbie-the-jean,you should check her stuff out, its bad ass. But she was invited to join a club but they had a few photopainters in there, and though that's fine they weren't putting them in the right catagorey so Bobbie didn't want to be associated with it; that's understandable. So her and the moderator of the club were exchanging private words until the girl put up an attack journal against Bobbie and then it all started. Spamming of hatred *rolls eyes* Its more of a preemptive strike. Besides the chick with the avatar of a lady bug down in my pages comments.
I do swear, its just when in a fight with someone I don't. Ever. I use bigger, more substantial words to rip someone a new one and make them confused. Only the stupid resort to swearing and only swearing *coughMENcough* sometimes haha.

You have a point but i think it all has to do with who has the opinion rather than the opinion itself. Its like art. The inspiration for it. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

yeah but that's a blurry line to draw... especially with the substantial lack of truly descriptive words in the english language for more obscure things like that. we've got a lot that mean the same thing. :|

dude. that sounds like a worst-case-scenario of what happened between me and the AVA ages ago. basically there was word that i wasn't a real vector artist or that PSP wasn't a real vector program because the club was run by a bunch of adobe-boner college kids. they were insisting my work was vexel and there was a pending decision from the VL folks that vexel wasn't allowed in a club designated for vector art. i basically stunk up the place and got into it with the mods until i brain refuted PSP could be used to create criterion vector art. and i swore up a STORM. i also recently heard that my art was always decidedly "western" in style and only by margin (according to the first mod, not the cool one) allowed for entry. she revealed this by posting "western-influenced art will now be acceptable in the AVA, but keep it subtle" along those lines. the hell?? animation wasn't even invented in japan. Eva is western influenced.

bleh. major digression. at any rate, i wanna go check out that catfight now. :P

haha just don't try to get too involved. I'm actually trying to get shatterflii to drop it but it doesn't seem to be happening. She keeps insisting all of her photopaint jobs are the real thing or slyly changing their category then saying its always been like that. bull shit... *rubbing temples* this is why sometimes I dislike any form of digital cause like you said it really is quite easy to recreate things once you know how to do it or to take a photo and manipulate it to your liking. I think that Shatterflii, if she truly does those things, should submit classical drawn pieces like my prisma works then it would be cool and we could all put this to rest.

And that's dumb as shit. Not to mention there's an old saying that is still floating around and the Japanese actually take pride in; "America comes up with the ideas, but Japan improves on them." Animation wasn't invited by the Japanese, nor was art, i think that all that is highly racist frankly. I love the style of Japan, don't get me wrong, but to deny the power of western art as well is just stupid. Are you going to tell me that the vector work in all, that's right ALL, of comic books today, of a shit load of western workers that work in that field, is wrong? How royally fucked up.

And if anything your style is a happy marriage of both.

a fact is racist? O.o

but yeah, that's what i said about that when the journal was made. WELL EXCUSE ME I DIDN"T KNOW I WAS CONTRABAND. and the artist who refuted me said... pretty much along the lines of 'bull fuckin shit; your characters live in america so she's saying it's not anime. ignore it.'

haha omg that's hilarious. Do you know that like four anime's take place in America or somewhere not in Japan? That's just ignorant... *rolls eyes*

And not that, not the fact, but to imply just because something isn't japanese it isn't good enough for their club or shouldn't be in it. I could understand if it was a purely anime club or something along the lines of ONLYJAPANWORK or something. I dunno. I'm being strange lately >>, damn you ovulation.

well those weren't her exact words... she meant that they were so culturally specific; like FMA is germanic people living in not-japan but there's still kung-fu and magic and people wear "fantasy" themed outfits, not... scenexcore.

basically our argument was "it's anime because a creator says it is." and that's all you can really go on no matter how something looks, if it isn't straight from japan (like big O).
